On today’s show Dr. Ben discusses New Year’s resolutions to lose weight and get fit. He addresses the fallacy of “calories in calories out”, burning more out then you put in, eating a low-calorie diet, etc. as weight control mechanisms. He talks about weight gain most often being a hormone issue and therefore how to optimize what you need to induce healthy hormones and suppress pro-inflammatory, fat storage hormones. He also touches on detoxification, and true cellular detox versus juice fasts, colon cleanses, liver flushes etc.
